Welcome to NAMAL the pioneering unit trust fund management company of Sri Lanka.

National Asset Management Ltd better known as NAMAL is the first fund management company  in Sri Lanka to be licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka to manage unit trusts. NAMAL is the largest manager of unit trust funds with approximately Rs. 2 billion in assets under management and an investor base of over 14,000 as at 31st December 2006.  In addition to unit trusts NAMAL also manage private portfolios in both Equity and Fixed Income asset classes.

NAMAL began its operations as a public limited liability company in 1991 and launched the first unit trust fund in Sri Lanka, the National Equity Fund.  Thereafter in 1997 NAMAL launched NAMAL Growth Fund, NAMAL Income Fund and NAMAL Money Market Fund to offer diversity of investment avenues for investors and our existing clients.  Now our unit holders can select a spread of investments with the NAMAL Fund family.  They also can switch from one fund to another to manage their market risks.

The investment philosophy at NAMAL is value oriented.  We always try to identify the difference between the intrinsic value of an investment and its current market price.  Our investment approach is research driven and analytical.  Investments are made with proper and in depth research.  To do this we have engaged a professional team to continually research into all aspects of an investment.
